Tales of the Direwood is being developed as a nighttime outdoor theatrical adventure. Audience members will be led on a journey where they'll encounter scenes of madness, magic, and intrigue - a series of self contained fairytales are woven together to reveal a grand narrative of a world on the brink of chaos and confusion.


About the Playwrights

Jackie Pomeroy

Jackie Pomeroy is a biracial playwright based in Queens, NY. In 2015, he graduated from Cornish College of the Arts, where he studied acting, directing and playwriting.

Post-graduation, Jackie co-wrote and co-produced Bix & Bax’s Box along with several other plays he wrote individually, including, Black Bear Radio, Stupidity, and The Collective. Jackie has worked with the Seattle Shakespeare Company, OG Theatre, Seattle Rep and probably like 20 billion others, too.

Faizan Hasnain

Faizan Hasnain is a Pakistani-American playwright based in Seattle, WA. He graduated from Cornish College of the Arts in 2015, and shortly after wrote and co-produced Bix & Bax's Box, which was presented at 12th Avenue Arts. He has acted in a number of productions here in Seattle including The Collective and Black Bear Radio with OG Theatre, and Twelfth Night produced by Ghost Light Theatricals, as well as written and acted in a number of sketches for the Core Ensemble’s Coaster Show. He is thrilled to continue generating new work with longtime collaborators Jackie Pomeroy and J.R. Yancher.
